• The process of wine-making begins in the vineyard. This is patently obvious, but we still think it worth mentioning as we firmly believe in the value of this maxim and take the process of very seriously. We decided to use the following traditional grape varieties on the 23 hectares of vineyards planted with white grapes: Arinto, Antão Vaz and Roupeiro as the principal varieties, and Verdelho da Madeira, Encruzado, Viosinho, Viognier, among others, as secondary varieties.

On the 60ha planted with red grape varieties, after much experimentation, we found the following varieties best suited to the terroir: Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional, Aragonês, Syrah and Petit Verdot.
